This is only partially related to the previous entry, but making a fanmix is hard.
I only got the idea to make one myself about two days ago, when I was listening to that Recently Added playlist and I noticed that there were a couple that were jumping out at me for Wolfram von Bielefeld of Kyou Kara Maou infamy. In that short time, I've run through a very long process and it doesn't look like I'll be completely satisfied for a while yet.
First, I went looking for cool pics of Wolf to make into a CD front and back cover, which rounded out at about 15 pics. During this, it came to light that my copy of Adobe Photoshop (which I hadn't yet tried to install on the new comp) has gone missing which essentially cuts me off, leaving me in a severe state of withdraw as we wait for my father to needle his brother to send a copy of his copy.
So I put that aspect aside for the moment and started looking up the lyrics to all 150 songs I've downloaded in the past week. Needless to say this was tedious, although I got a lot more out of the music then I might have if I just passively listened while going about other business.
So that got done and I moved on to narrowing down the tentative list to the more fitting songs. Then I classified the songs to the stages of the show they correspond to. Now I'm thinking about maybe just moving on and putting the final text bits together, but there is a small part of me that keeps saying you have nearly two thousand songs on that iPod of yours, you should deliberate some more before you commit, but GOD, wouldn't that take months!
Also, I am seriously wondering if I should consider cutting some songs on the sole basis of their synthesis with the other songs, which just seems like undue heights of anal retentiveness.
Ugh. On another note, there is a strange profusion of Lifehouse on this thing. I never knew they were so pleasant (I wouldn't call them awesome, but Empty Space is infinitely likable).
