BONES! The gravedigger episode? YES. YAYx1000^n!

How much does it say about me that I cannot bring myself to watch the Blair Witch episode without daylight and someone else present? Obviously it is not supposed to be as creepy as I'm scared it will be, but I had to stop before they looked at the video because I know there will be something spooky and no, just no.

Anyway, the poem today is just something small and easy, but I do love it. I would interpret this poem as "hope in death," which has very little to do with actual singing, but what the hell, we bring who we are into what we read. It is basically why I sing in choirs, how I feel like I'm getting high off the very essence of what makes us members of the human race.

Everyone Sang
-- Siegfried Sassoon

Everyone suddenly burst out singing;
And I was filled with such delight
As prisoned birds must find in freedom,
Winging wildly across the white
Orchards and dark-green fields; on - on - and out of sight.

Everyone's voice was suddenly lifted;
And beauty came like the setting sun:
My heart was shaken with tears; and horror
Drifted away ... O, but Everyone
Was a bird; and the song was wordless; the singing will never be done.
