I know you can't stand me now...
Alright, I admit it! Four days ago I gave in to the urge and made a Last.fm account. I also admit that I have been checking my charts obsessively. The only thing I am surprised about at this point is that I apparently have more Death Cab for Cutie and Dashboard Confessional songs than I want or know what to do with.
FList, know that I don't throw anything away. How am I supposed to know that one day I won't go completely emo and shameless and crave Death Cab for Cutie like they are the water to my goldfish? Honestly! I also admit that I like a not-insignificant number of their songs a great deal (We Looked Like Giants, in particular), but on the whole they are rather unoriginal and unmemorable.
I know for a fact that the only reason I have that much Dashboard Confessional is that they are The Perfect Fanmix Band, for serious, and thus I picked up practically their entire discography as I leeched through![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
fanmix. I really, honestly dislike them. I comfort myself with the knowledge that I skip their songs when they come up on shuffle, even if LF's scrobbling catches them as they go by.
Otherwise, I am content knowing that I am honestly going through a Coldplay phase. I really like the songs of theirs I recently picked up. Also, I am very much obsessed with Muppet Treasure Island's Professional Pirate. I could blame it on the upcoming party, or I could admit that I miss the Muppets, both of which would be true.
I find it truly pathetic that I have no friends as of yet.

The only thing stopping me from asking when and where at this very moment is the knowledge that I am super, super busy with my Mom's annual family reunion type thing, which is going to happen this Sunday whether we are ready (we might be) or not (the more likely).
