Why, it's enough to drive one mad.
I have been feeling sort of under the weather for about a week. This has manifested itself in different ways: mild sore throat, upset stomach, heat flashes, excess tiredness.
I was wondering what to do about it because I can sort of qualify them all under outside sources. I mean, mild sore throat? Dry working conditions at the Historical Society. Upset stomach? Repressed anxiety about school (sounds far-fetched, but my stomach is usually the first thing that goes funny when I'm stressed). Heat flashes? The weather has been weird enough for my body to get rightly confused. Tiredness? I say that I'm working fine on my vampire schedule, but I do realize it is not the healthiest lifestyle I could have chosen and any resulting problems from that were no doubt exacerbated by my stunt Saturday night.
Now I'm kind of WTFing because I just got whacked upside the head with my femininity today and that explains everything except for the sore throat and, I mean, the Society is dry, but it is not that dry.
Am I a little sick? Is is the weather? Anxiety? Some variant of my usual menstrual syndromes? I do not know and I am getting rather dizzy trying to explain it to myself.
Also, this is going to be the first time I start classes with my period, which will no doubt mean untold levels of misplaced histrionics. I weep for myself already. Lucky for me, at least today I have the start of the pro exams (YES) to watch which should calm me a little.
On a completely unrelated note, I told my mother about Steve Irwin dying and she was unusually obtuse.

Mom: Who?
Me: Steve Irwin. The Crocodile Hunter?
Mom: Ah, well, that's not completely surprising.
Me: He was killed by a stingray.
Mom: *appears to go into shock* ...But what about the crocodiles?
Me: Not involved.
Mom: *watches a lot of crime shows* You make it sound like they were suspected accomplices or something.
Me: *laughs* You never know.
