I'd rather say that technically Belle rescued the beast, what with the womanly hand and the healing powers of love.

For some reason, I forgot about Nala, who I suppose is like Cinderella in that she marries into royalty... Hm. My argument is that Nala is never a princess. She marries Simba when he's already the king. And this is sort of glossed over in the movie, but the lionesses must have conferred and agreed that Nala go find help, a task in which she succeeds spectacularly (with some help from Rafiki). She totally wears the metaphorical pants in that movie.

Dude! Kida is totally a princess! Marginalized Disney movies for the fail!

So in conclusion: Yay lions and Native Americans and drugs! The rest of you, I hope you have a man somewhere in your life.
