Just some thoughts on possible symbolism in the Founders' artifacts, which include some circumstantial evidence for the Ravenclaw claim and some random insight into Chapter 27 of HBP. Not so much a theory of my own, more that it intrigued me when I heard it and I went to find out more about it. So, some discussion on the Founders' artifacts, the only Horcrux to not have its object identified, and their relationships with Tarot:
( Something of Gryffindor's or Ravenclaw's... )

Just for the record:
( My 7.16.05 ) I've ranted at about four people in the course of the last four days, so it is basically beyond my ability to keep doing it without rehashing and boring myself, but BEST BOOK YET LIEKOMG!!11! And that's about all I have to say until I finish re-reading it, at which point I might decide to post some notes, reactions, etc. In the meantime, happy birthday Laura! Best birthday wishes and whatnot. ...I really hope I'm remembering the date right. *frets a little*

Well, if I haven't taken the HBP anticipation to it's logical extreme, I'd like to see some evidence to the contrary.
Top graphic is composed of all the covers of HBP (top left, clockwise: US General Release, US Deluxe Edition, UK Adult, UK Children). The pics were snatched from Veritaserum and The Leaky Cauldron, both of which are very dear sites to me, although I prefer the layout/setup of Mugglenet about 1000 times more (bold color! great layout!).
The background is from Kaliber10000, where you can find all sorts of lovely pixel patterns and much more. Specifically, the one I used for this layout is a modified (changed the color to match) form of 1 by Jap. This site is also where I came up with my old layout background, something I have previously forgotten to mention.
Almost all the wordiness on this layout was inspired from spoil_me_hbp, especially this post, which is the coolest thing ever because nearly all the info is in ONE PLACE (Slytherin's may be tricky, but they are DAMN USEFUL). The one exception to this, "people who live in wooden houses shouldn't raise dragons," was inspired from a passage in PS/SS.

Well, I'm officially counting down to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I just finished up SS/PS. I spent about an hour looking for my copy of CoS, but alack, it has disappeared somewhere into the netherworld. CoS was the first Harry Potter book I ever bought and as such it is the one I've read the most and also to one I stopped reading the soonest. I don't think I've seen hide nor tail of it since sometime before the movie came out. Ah well, it shall turn up eventually! In the meantime, I'm borrowing a friend's copy tomorrow and biding my time until then with fanfic. Because I'm dedicated like that. And I have no life.
Currently, I am having my ears blown off by my Current Music, which consists entirely of two guitars riffing for 7 minutes and 10 seconds. I love it. For some reason, I think of this is as a sign that I am a closet masochist. Oi. -__-;
For those of you who want a refresher in the HP Universe without reading 1000+ pages, I'd recommend the Harry Potter Lexicon for all of your factual and speculatory needs. That place saves thousands of HP-obsessed butts everyday.
Up Harry Potter! :D

If you are insane like me, than you will already know this, but something very big happened a couple of days ago in the Harry Potter Fandom.
Book Six's title has been announced!
Or well... it seems the story is that it was part of a recently added prize on JKR's site.
People who don't know what I'm talking about: on JKR's official site, there are certain things one can mess with and if you do the right things you get rewards (a la sketches she's done and pages from old drafts of the books (hint)Call "MAGIC" on the cell phone(/hint)). There was major whispering around the fandom about the mysterious locked door. Rowling said that she hadn't decided what to put behind it yet, but that we would know when it was ready.
So two or three days ago, the door was suddenly unlocked to reveal...a brick wall! But with some meddling…(hint)find the right bricks, then 3rd 4th 2nd 5th 1st in order from top to bottom(/hint)…you can eventually get some ‘wind’ to blow the title of Book 6 your way! So actually it ended up not even being a prize and just something you ‘unlock’ But! It’s a rather interesting way to reveal it no?
So. Those who want to know without the hassle, it's ( behind this cut, to protect your virgin eyes. ) For those of you who don't want to know, already know, or just don't care.... to heck with you! XP hehe ( My own thoughts on this new development... )
